Roof repair works are starting this week at Mandurah Library to replace ageing materials at the community facility.
The works include the replacement of sheet roofing and gutters and will be completed in a staged process to be finished by the end of August.
While the library will remain open to the public throughout the project, access to certain collections, services and programs will be disrupted at different stages of the works. This includes the Digital Hub, meeting room, collections of books, audio books, DVDs, magazines and book displays.
It is hoped that community programs including Rhymetime and Storytime can be relocated to other parts of the library or held outside, weather permitting.
The City of Mandurah would like to thank the community for their understanding during the works program, and encourages library users to make use of the Falcon and Lakelands libraries during this time.
