The City of Mandurah is helping local people to kick-start or boost their own businesses with two free training courses.
- StartUp Smart's 8-week program tailored for Mandurah start-ups:
Those wanting to start their own business but don’t know where to begin are encouraged to apply. The free course will teach participants how to start a business the smart way, build a solid foundation and get step-by-step guidance to help start and develop a business.
Through the course, a range of helpful topics will be covered including validating a business idea, identifying customers, target market and competition, validating and testing products and services, developing a business model and developing a brand, plus much more.
During and after the course, participants will have access to one-on-one business advisory sessions, which will help people to further succeed in their business.
StartUp Smart will begin on February 18, and applications are open now. - Marketing for Small Business workshop:
This business capacity-building course calls local small business owners to learn how to master marketing strategies, dominate digital and network.
We're all in to empower local businesses with the knowledge, skills, and collaborative networks you need to excel in the dynamic world of marketing. Participants will dive into eight weeks of immersive marketing training that will boost local business.
Marketing for Small Business workshop begins on February 20, and applications are also open now.
The programs will be delivered in partnership with business consultants.
These business training programs are one of the ways the City is helping to boost local people’s skills and employment opportunities, and is an innovative approach to the City’s economic initiatives.
