Keep the kids entertained these school holidays with the City of Mandurah’s School Holiday Guide, full of awesome free and low-cost activities for all ages.
There’s lots for kids at your local library. Let them get crafty, take part in a cooking class, or meet the animals! Bestselling children’s author and entertainer, Andy Jones will be coming to our Libraries with two great shows: What’s the Joke Show and Harry Potter Quizz-itch. Make sure you book your spots early!
We also have our Summer Reading Quest back this year. Record how many minutes you read each day from December to February for your chance to win some awesome prizes. Head to our libraries at Falcon, Lakelands, or Mandurah to collect your SRQ booklets or Summer Steps card and start reading!
At Mandurah Museum, explore the museum’s collection as you search for things that fly, hidden throughout the galleries. Join the amazing Sanny Ang at Mandurah Museum for an interactive lesson in origami. What happens when you put storytelling and origami together? You get Storigami.
The warmer weather means Mandurah Aquatic and Recreation Centre (MARC) is busting out the inflatables with sessions available for ages 6-16. Swim School 5- and 10-day programs are also on as well as the popular Roller Disco’s happening. Get the whole family together for an afternoon filled with laughter and teamwork. Pick from netball, futsal or pickleball, and we’ll organise teams for this energetic round-robin sports carnival. We also have lots of come and try sessions available so you can experience some of our term programs firsthand before Term 1 begins with Action Tots, Active Kids, Tots Gymnastics and Recreational Gymnastics programs all available.
Older kids are sorted with our Youth team’s epic line up. The team has organised skate-park activities, graffiti art workshop, surfing lessons and gaming days. Our Beats Under the Bridge Summer Youth Fest is back for its fifth year in a row. Don't miss this incredible day of tunes and fun with your friends with water slides to cool down too! This year, we’re also including a quiet hour at the start of the day from 2pm-3pm. Come along to our silent disco and chill out with your friends.
See the guide for full details and keep an eye on activities that ask for bookings or registration. We hope you all have a great time in the City these school holidays!
