Group of people providing feedback under and around a shade tent at the Mandurah Matters Big Check-in outdoor pop-up event held at the Mandurah Skate Park

Today we celebrate our community, as we wrap up phase 1 of the Mandurah Matters Big Check-in!

Throughout this phase, our community members demonstrated their dedication to Mandurah’s future and making a difference. Their insights, ideas and active participation have paved the way for transformative discussions that will impact our city's growth and development for the next decade and beyond.

Key highlights from phase 1:

Through a combination of online surveys, pop-up events and a fully integrated marketing plan, we received over 4500 pieces of information, including:

  • 2,480 individuals completed the survey
  • Estimated over 900 community members attended pop-up events and targeted engagement activities
  • Over 500 kids participated in the creative competition
  • Received over 790 comments and suggestions through our social media channels
  • Explored a broad spectrum of topics, from our coastal lifestyle and feel to exploring social issues like homelessness and education

We've gained a comprehensive understanding of community priorities and aspirations.

As we transition into phase 2, our momentum continues to build.

We are eager to dive deeper into the feedback through community workshops later this year and work collaboratively to shape actionable plans that will bring our community’s ideas to life.

We extend our gratitude to all who participated, shared insights and connected with us. Together, we are shaping a vibrant city, empowering everyone to thrive.

Phase 2 of the Mandurah Matters Big Check-in will kick off in December with a number of community representatives invited to participate in a targeted workshop aimed at refining the focus areas.

Stay tuned for updates and opportunities to join us on this exciting path forward.

Let's continue to work together to make our city better for everyone!
