Grass and sticks on fire

Total fire ban and harvest/vehicle movement ban (HVMB) is now in place for the Mandurah area.

The ban has been declared for our local area today for the 25,26,27 December. It will be reviewed & further advice will be issued in the coming days. More details.

The following activities are NOT permitted during this time:

  • Harvesting operators
  • Any "hot works" (eg. welding, grinding, cutting, heating etc)
  • Use or operation of any vehicle, engine, plant, equipment or machinery in areas likely to cause fire OR contribute to spread of fire
  • Vehicle access to Tims Thicket and White Hills

During a HVMB the use of the following items are prohibited in order to mitigate the associated risk of causing or contributing to the spread of a bushfire: Engines, vehicles, plant; equipment or machinery.
