A group of people wearing black and white are seated outside in a spiral formation, with their arms held above their head in a dance move
Community dancers are invited to take part in WHORL, a new seated dance performance by Lifespan Dance.

About the Event

Learn the beautiful art of seated dance and take up the opportunity to perform in public with other community and virtuoso dancers.

WHORL is a new seated dance performance choreographed by Paige Gordon, the second work in a triptych of seated dance performances presented at the Mandurah Arts Festival (WINGSPAN). The choreography will be effective in its simplicity, featuring movements that explore natural spirals, structures and the motif of winding and unwinding.

Everyone is welcome to participate, the choreography can be adjusted for all abilities. Once you have registered you will receive a link to the choreography and music to practice in your own time and space. Then connect with your fellow dancers at a compulsory Community Rehearsal before performing the work twice at Mandurah Arts Festival events Peel Makers Market and Music Under the Bridge.
