Public art comes to life in our community with the painting of two new murals

About the Event

Witness the magic of creativity live and in-person as murals are installed at various locations across the City of Mandurah!

Over the festival period, experienced mural artists will be hard at work under the Mandurah Bridge, with new murals being painted on the Western and Eastern Foreshores. You can watch these artists bring their creation to life, and then be among the first to see the final masterpieces unveiled!

Eastern Foreshore
The columns under the Mandurah Bridge on the Eastern Foreshore fishing platform will be home to stunning new design by Perth-based artists Nicola Cowie and Kat Ferguson. They will commence painting on Saturday, 21 September 2024 and will be present (weather permitting) for a few weeks.

Western Foreshore
The wall supporting the Mandurah Bridge on the Western Foreshore will come to life with a large-scale mural by prominent artist Mel 'Melski' McVee. She will commence painting on Friday, 6 September 2024.

If you want to be part of the action, join us for our Community Painting Days alongside artist Melski, on Saturday, 7 & Sunday, 8 September 2024!
