About the Event
Artists, community groups and other arts professionals are invited to this one-day intensive workshop covering all facets of grant-writing.
Grants can come from many different sources, including government and private philanthropy, and the process of applying incorporates so much more than just writing. Using Arts and Culture grants from the Department of Local Government, Sports and Cultural Industries as a template, Walk through Walls will step through the start-to-finish of applying for a grant, including:
- Development of a project or concept
- Grant-writing processes and timelines
- Practical, interactive grant preparation/writing tasks
- Budget development
- Support material development
- Drafting templates and requests for Letters of Support
- Estimating attendance and participation data
- Capturing feedback and evaluation for future acquittals
This workshop is suitable for any artist or arts professional, across any artform, who may be preparing grant submissions. Participants will be welcome to bring along an existing grant application to work through on the day.
