CASM offers a creative space which allows a variety of community arts and skill building workshops to be run. The workshops allow for those eager to learn to develop skills and creative understanding as well as a community connection.

The CASM Workshop space is an open area with natural lighting on two sides of the workshop. It has the capacity to comfortably seat 22 participants in a presentation setup or 12-16 participants in a practical workshop scenario.

Individual art facilitators, community arts groups and professional artists can hire the CASM Workshop on a regular or casual basis. 

The 40m2 space is fitted with the following:

  • 9 banks of LED lights on two separate switches
  • Kitchenette with microwave and kettle
  • A solvent sink
  • 10 trestle tables
  • 23 chairs
  • 16 easels
  • Storage cupboard for long-term users, subject to availability

2024/25 Workshop Hire Fees

Initial One-off Administration Fee: This allows for the administration behind the hire to be undertaken.
$28.75

Community use describes an activity where the hirer charges no fee to other venue users.

For example, a printmaking group hires the venue to run weekly community classes for its members.

$23.00/ per four (4) hour hire 

Commercial use describes an activity where the hirer is charging users to participate in their activity.

For example, an artist hiring the venue to run a printmaking workshop where the participants are charged a fee.

$54.00/ per four (4) hour hire
