We know there’s never a good time to close the pool—and trust us, we don’t like it either! But sometimes, a little TLC is necessary to keep things running smoothly.
From April 14 to late May, the Leisure Pool and Pirate Playground will be temporarily closed for essential maintenance.
The Leisure Pool needs to be drained to enable maintenance of the pool gutters. The paint on the concrete pool gutters is delaminating and wrapping around the foot valve of the pool pump. If this is left unremedied, the pump could malfunction and break.
The paint is meant to protect the concrete gutter from being eroded by pool water chemicals. The internal tiling and lining of the pool are at risk of failing if the concrete is breached.
The MARC is also using this time to fix numerous minor issues such as spa jet issues, a damaged pipe in the Pirate Playground, cracked tiles and eroded grout.
We know this is frustrating (we’ve got our own thumbs down, too!), but we appreciate your patience.
We wish we didn’t have to, but if we don’t give our pool a little love now, we won’t be able to enjoy it for the years to come.
Thanks for sticking with us—we’ll keep this page updated with new information and milestones when we can.
