The City of Mandurah has announced the winners of this year’s Christmas Window Decorating Competition, which saw a record 34 local businesses participating in showcasing their festive creativity. This initiative, part of the City’s ongoing efforts to support local businesses and attract visitors to the city centre, has brought Christmas cheer to Mandurah’s streets, with festive window displays brimming with holiday spirit.
After much anticipation, the following businesses were awarded top honours in the competition:
1st Place – The Quirky Beetle
2nd Place – L.J. Hooker, Mandurah
3rd Place – Top Floor Mandurah
The high standard of entries this year impressed the judging panel, with the competition being closer than ever. In addition to the top three winners, special recognition goes to The Coffee Cove on Scholl Street, which received the most public votes despite experiencing vandalism to their display early in the competition. Their resilience in continuing to participate, despite the challenges, was greatly appreciated by the community.
The competition invited the public to vote for their favourite window display by scanning the QR codes displayed in participating businesses’ windows. Voters were also entered into a draw to win vouchers and small prizes. Winners will be notified soon.
The Christmas Window Decorating Competition is part of the City’s broader strategy to support local businesses and promote Mandurah as a thriving destination for both residents and visitors. The initiative not only highlights the creativity of local businesses but also plays a role in driving visitation to the city centre and supporting the local economy.
