The City of Mandurah is encouraging the community to have their say on the draft Community Safety Strategy 2024-2029, with feedback open until Friday, 5 July via Mandurah Matters.

In developing the draft strategy, the City undertook extensive engagement with a wide range of voices in the community to better understand the safety issues that are important to Mandurah residents.

The community engagement showed that the local community is seeking greater connections within their neighbourhoods, access to local safety resources to be better equipped and informed, an increased response to reported crime, and new initiatives that create safer places.

The draft strategy focusses on creating a safer community through meaningful partnerships, promoting positive interactions with places and empowering people to make constructive contributions to safety.

The draft strategy is now available for community feedback before being presented to the Council for endorsement. To have a say, visit https://www.mandurahmatters.com.au/draft-community-safety-strategy before 5 July.
