White Hill Road in the City of Mandurah is set to undergo significant safety improvements, thanks to funding from the State Government's Black Spot Program. This program focuses on enhancing safety by addressing roads with a proven crash history, or identified as a high-risk area.
The project is scheduled to kick off on November 28, and is expected to finish early 2024. Key components of the upgrade include re-grading the road and constructing a granular pavement. The final phase will involve completing the granular works and sealing the road.
To ensure the safety of all users, a temporary road closure will be in effect from the intersection of White Hill Road and Quail Road, all the way up to the entrance of Whitehill Beach.
To accommodate users of Whitehill Beach during the festive season, the road will temporarily re-open from 22 December 2023 to 7 January 2024. A full road closure will commence again from 8 January 2024 , and will be in place until the completion of the project.
These enhancements not only aim to improve overall road safety but also contribute to the improvement of the community's infrastructure. We appreciate the community's understanding and cooperation during this phase of road works. Stay tuned for updates as we work together to create safer and more accessible roads for everyone in the City of Mandurah.
