Pursuant to section 3.16 of the Local Government Act 1995 the City of Mandurah is required to periodically review all of its local laws. This is to determine whether or not they should be amended, repealed or remain unchanged.
Notice is hereby given that in accordance with this section, the City of Mandurah has resolved to commence a review of the following local laws:
- Waste Management Local Law 2010
- Animals, Environment & Nuisance Local Law 2010
Copies of these local laws may be inspected at the City’s Administration Centre, 3 Peel Street, Mandurah, between 8.15am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Copies will also be available for viewing at Mandurah Library, Lakelands Library and the Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre during normal operating hours. Copies of the local laws are also available from the City of Mandurah website www.mandurah.wa.gov.au.
Submissions about the local laws may be made in writing to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Mandurah, PO Box 210, Mandurah WA 6210 or emailed to council@mandurah.wa.gov.au.
Your feedback will be reviewed and presented to Council. If amendments are recommended, a draft will be advertised for public comment.
The closing date for all submissions is Friday, 22 September 2023.
