The City of Mandurah is dedicated to supporting local community groups and organisations through a range of grant programs.

Applications are now open for two types of community grants to help local groups deliver projects, events and creative ideas that benefit Mandurah and help add to a vibrant local lifestyle.

Community Event Support Grants
As part of a commitment to attracting visitors and showcasing a vibrant local scene, the City is offering grants to non-profit recreation clubs and community groups to host community-based events.

The Community Event Support Grants assist eligible non-profit clubs and community groups to organise events that demonstrate significant economic and social benefits by encouraging attendance and participation, engaging local businesses and helping to create a more vibrant city.

With a total grant funding pool of $30,000, successful groups can receive up to $3000 to bring their event to life.

Previous grant recipients have included The Compassionate Friends of Mandurah for A Walk to Remember, the Mandurah Triathlon Club for the annual State Interclub Championships, and the WA Australian Street Rod Federation for the Hot Rod and Custom Spectacular Show.

The grants will be awarded in rounds throughout the financial year. Applications are open now and close on 6 August, 2023.

Community Partnership Grants

Local non-profit groups and organisations who can provide beneficial programs and services that support the community are encouraged to apply for a Community Partnership Grant.

Applications for the new round of Community Partnership Grants are now open, with the City providing funding for three-year projects that align with the Strategic Community Plan. Applications will close on August 30, 2023 at 4.30pm.

The City supports locally based groups and organisations to help deliver projects, events and creative ideas that increase community capacity, engagement, participation or skills and training in Mandurah, that meet an identified need or purpose.

Since their inception, the Community Partnership Grants Fund has helped many local groups and organisations to deliver a range of projects in Mandurah, including the Southwest Rollers lawn bowls club, Eastlake Church and Cycling Without Age Mandurah.

Applicants should read the guidelines on the website, and then contact one of the City’s Senior Community Development Officers on 9550 3777 (or email cdo@mandurah.wa.gov.au) to discuss their grant idea.
