As part of our commitment to improving Mandurah’s connectively, we are upgrading key entry roads into Mandurah’s City Centre.
In April, we completed scheduled works on Pinjarra Road. As a main entry road, Pinjarra Road plays a pivotal role in the local road network and business community. We will be exploring further upgrades along Pinjarra Road, with the hope for these to begin in the 2024/25 financial year. This is subject to funding.
Along Peel Street, works progressed ahead of schedule. Western Power completed undergrounding powerlines at the end of April and we will be installing temporary lighting in the next 2-3 weeks. Telstra is also onsite to start relocating communications cabling.
Peel St is a main entry road to Mandurah and we know it's an important link to the City Centre. To future-proof this road, we will be reconstructing the road, improving pedestrian and cyclist access, and enhanced street lighting and landscaping.
