
About the Event
We are looking for local people with disability to help gather information about the accessibility of beaches across Mandurah. Together we can build a more accessible and inclusive community for everyone to enjoy.
Who should attend?
People with disability, family members, support workers - anyone passionate about accessible and inclusive communities. The workshop will be facilitated by Spinal Life Australia and provide practical tips on how to provide feedback about accessibility issues impacting a person’s ability to enjoy Mandurah’s local beaches.
Workshop Details
11 am
- Introduction to the Beach Access Audit project,
- data collection, providing feedback,
- using technology and information to support accessible journey planning.
12.30 noon
- Networking lunch
1.15pm
- Access audit in action

- Workshop ends
Beach access audits
To be conducted over the week commencing 19 June 2023. People will be reimbursed for their time.
Accessibility
ACROD parking and a wheelchair accessible toilet. Support workers are welcome. There are quiet spaces available if needing a break from the workshop. Please make contact by phone or email if you require anything to support your participation in this workshop.
Registration essential for catering purposes.
