About the Event
Join us as we officially kick off Seniors Week with our special guest, Curtin Radio presenter, and esteemed sports broadcaster, Glenn Mitchell. Glenn spent 20 years as an ABC sports broadcaster in Perth, where he became famous for his commentary on cricket and AFL football. He'll be sharing captivating behind-the-scenes anecdotes from the Olympic Games, Commonwealth Games, and cricket tours he has covered.
During his career, he commentated at four Olympic Games and three Commonwealth Games and covered over 110 Tests and One Day Internationals in cricket, including tours to various countries.
Facing personal challenges, including mental illness, he resigned from his position in 2011. After overcoming these obstacles, he now aims to help others by candidly sharing his journey. Join us in welcoming Glenn Mitchell as we celebrate the start of Seniors Week with his remarkable experiences and inspirational story.
