About the Event

Mandurah Libraries are celebrating Love to Read Local in June with a series of author events and workshops.

Love to Read Local, an initiative of Writing WA, is an annual state-wide campaign showcasing and celebrating Western Australia's many, many wonderful writers and illustrators, and the books they create.

Introduction to Creative Writing – with Josephine Taylor

Have you ever wanted to write creatively, but don’t know how to start? Do you have a story that burns to be told, but can’t find the words? Join author Josephine Taylor in an introduction to creative writing that ranges across language use, characterisation, setting, structure, and much more. Participants will learn, through information, examples, and fun exercises, that writing creatively is both actively doable and positively joyful.
