Five masks sit on a wooden table, each are drawn on with thick, black angular lines and bright colours to look like characters from the cartoon series Transformers
Explore real artworks from the National Gallery’s Earth Art Case, then create your own imaginative mask.

About the Event

These school holidays, step inside the National Gallery of Australia’s Art Cases at Mandurah Museum—a rare chance to see and touch real artworks from the national collection!

Get hands-on with The Art Cases and create your own mask while we explore the Blue Case – Earth Art, featuring artists who delve into the natural world and our connection to it.

After handling and discussing the works, you’ll dive into a creative mask-making session. Inspired by the artwork inside the Blue case, you can design human, animal, robotic, or completely imaginative masks inspired by stories, movies, or your own ideas!

This activity is suitable for children aged 5-12 years.
