This Social Media Basics Workshop is designed for complete beginners. Whether you already have social media accounts for your business or are starting from scratch, this session covers the essentials. You’ll learn what a strong profile looks like, how to set up and optimise Facebook and Instagram, and how to navigate each platform with confidence. The workshop also covers how to post, the different types of posts available, and simple best practices for using social media to promote your small business in a practical, manageable way.

Renee is the Marketing Coordinator at Creative Business Community, with hands-on experience in freelance creative marketing and running her own small business. She helped launch Creative Business Community through MarketLife, one of Perth’s leading event consulting brands behind Perth Makers Market and Perth Upmarket, supporting thousands of WA small businesses and artists. Renee holds a Bachelor of Arts in Tourism & Events, and Media & Communications, and is passionate about helping business owners build confidence, grow sustainably, and connect through practical education and community.
