The Mandurah Christmas Lights Trail is back again this December, and we are looking for businesses to decorate their shopfront.

The City encourages our community to move around all the decorated stores and vote for their favourite. There are great prizes for winning businesses.

Entry is free for businesses within the City Centre, and you will be given a QR code window decal to put up encouraging people to vote for your shop. This is a great way to make sure people stop and look at your store, even when you aren't open - they might just see the perfect gift they then come back for.

Competition Period

Voting period: December 1-31.

Businesses are welcome to have their decorations up longer or shorter than the voting time frame, however, votes can only be cast during the stated voting period.

Registration Process

Email the Transform Mandurah team to ensure your business is registered to be voted for, and to receive your free window decal to get people to vote. Please include your business name, address, opening hours and contact details. By entering you are accepting the Terms & Conditions of this competition.

It is free to register and for members of the public to vote.

Prizes

Prizes will be awarded for first, second and third-placed businesses based on the number of votes received.

Vouchers and small prizes will also be awarded to randomly drawn members of the public.

Tips & Tricks

  • Use lights to ensure your storefront gets attention (and votes) at night, as well as in the day
  • Make sure your business name is clear and easy to read - this way people will know who to vote for, and where they saw that must-have item
  • Tell a story, have a theme, create a scene. Make your display memorable
  • Keep it green - use environmentally friendly and/or reusable items - reusable items will give you a head start for decorating next year too!
  • Feel free to use your own products in the display
  • Support local - consider using local products, produce and artwork as part of your display. Perhaps a local artist could be engaged to create something unique.

We know local businesses are essential to the Mandurah community, that's why supporting our local businesses and local economy matters. The Christmas in Mandurah Window Competition is one of the many ways the City supports local businesses with initiatives and programs aimed at boosting our local economy, including attracting visitation to our City Centre and beyond.
