We are thrilled to announce the return of ‘Music in the Burbs,’ a vibrant series of free community events set to bring live music, fun, and togetherness to parks across Mandurah. Running every second week in November, these family-friendly events are all about celebrating community spirit, supporting local talent, and providing a welcoming space for residents to connect and enjoy the outdoors.

Each Saturday afternoon, a different local park will come alive with the sounds of talented musicians and a range of engaging activities, from mini golf to gigantic bubbles and nature play for kids. These events, held in partnership with local community groups, are designed to reflect the unique character of each area and to bring people together in a relaxed and festive atmosphere.

Event Dates and Locations:

  • Saturday, 1 November, 3.30-6.30 pm at Novara Foreshore Reserve, Falcon: Enjoy performances by Whisky Tango and The Godlemans, in partnership with Falcon Community Garden and South Mandurah Collective.
  • Saturday, 15 November, 3.30-6.30 pm at Delray Loop, Madora Bay: Featuring Tide I, Lachlan Dods and Alex Wayne, in partnership with Madora Bay Community Association.
  • Saturday, 29 November, 3.30-6.30 pm at Coodanup Foreshore Reserve, Coodanup: With performances by Mel & Nae Duo and Chilali & the Chief. In partnership with Mandurah Lions Club.

'Music in the Burbs' is more than just an event series; it's an opportunity for Mandurah residents to connect with their community, enjoy local talent, and participate in the vibrant social fabric of our city. With activities for all ages, these events are the perfect way to spend a spring afternoon with family and friends, meeting new people, and celebrating what makes Mandurah a great place to live.

Attendees are encouraged to bring along chairs and rugs to make the most of the picnic-friendly atmosphere. While you can bring your own picnic, we also encourage supporting local community groups who will be offering sausage sizzles, coffee, and ice cream for purchase. Given the limited parking at the event locations, we recommend walking or cycling to the events if possible.

To ensure the safety and comfort of all attendees, ‘Music in the Burbs’ is a drug, alcohol, and smoke-free event, and we kindly ask that pets be left at home.

These events highlight our commitment to fostering strong community connections and providing accessible, enjoyable activities for all residents.

Come along, bring your friends and family, and be part of the fun as we celebrate our community together.
