Pinjarra Road works between Foulkes Place and Sutton Street are progressing well, delivering significant improvements to one of the main entry points to the city centre.
Key milestones have been achieved in stage one of the eastbound construction, including:
- Preparing the base of the road construction, compaction, and final trimming.
- Reconstruction of driveways to accommodate the new works.
- Pre-construction site visits for essential services.
The following works are set to take place in the coming weeks:
- Replacement of sewer and water manhole covers and valves.
- Spray sealing at Foulkes Place.
- Finalisation of the basecourse layer work.
- Kerbing works.
Temporary traffic management remains in place with two-way traffic flowing in the westbound lane to ensure safety for road users and construction workers. Detours around George and Forrest Street are also in place to help ease traffic flow during construction. Access to homes and businesses is being maintained throughout the project, and we encourage the community to continuing supporting the local businesses.
The City appreciates the community's patience and cooperation as we work to improve infrastructure and connectivity for residents, businesses and visitors.
