Pursuant to section 3.12(3) of the Local Government Act 1995, notice is hereby given that the City of Mandurah proposes to make the following local law:
Proposed Animals, Environment & Nuisance Amendment Local Law 2024
The purpose of this local law is to amend provisions within the City of Mandurah Animals, Environment and Nuisance Local Law 2010 for the regulation, control and management of animals and the prevention of environmental damage and nuisances within the District of Mandurah.
The effect of this local law is to ensure that the Animals, Environment and Nuisance Local Law is as clear and effective as possible in prescribing and managing the requirements with which any person keeping animals, harbouring pest plants or undertaking activities that have the potential to impact the environment or create nuisance must comply.
A copy of the proposed local law may be inspected at or obtained from the City’s Administration Centre, 3 Peel Street, Mandurah, between 8.30am and 4.30pm, Monday to Friday. Copies will also be available for viewing at any City of Mandurah library during normal operating hours and available from the City of Mandurah website www.mandurah.wa.gov.au.
Submissions about the local laws may be made in writing to the Chief Executive Officer, City of Mandurah, PO Box 210, Mandurah WA 6210 or emailed to council@mandurah.wa.gov.au.
Consultation comments will be reviewed and presented to Council.
The closing date for all submissions is 14 June 2024.
