About the Event

Join us at Mandurah Museum this January to celebrate the Persian New Year, Nowruz! Explore colourful Persian dance costumes and musical instruments, and enjoy a fun, hands-on activity for the whole family.

Storytime: The Meaning of Nowruz

Learn about Nowruz, the Persian New Year, a time for fresh starts. Discover the tradition of placing a goldfish on the holiday table as a symbol of new life, along with other items that represent health, love, and good fortune.

Craft activity:
Create your own goldfish-in-a-bowl display with this simple paper craft activity. Follow easy steps to cut, fold, glue, and decorate your masterpiece to take home!

Who can join?
This free activity is great for kids aged 5-12. Parents or guardians may need to assist, so feel free to bring the whole family!
