About the Event
Bindjareb Sisters Dreaming | Strength, Hope and Freedom features the work of four sisters – Elsie Ugle, Phyllis Ugle, Colleen Ugle and Lesley Pickett Ugle. These proud Aboriginal yorgas/women have been painting together for over 10 years, creating beautiful artworks that tell stories about their lives, their culture, and their connection to Country.
The exhibition of colourful paintings showing animals like turtles, crabs and fish, along with the rivers and bushlands of Bindjareb Country in Western Australia. Every piece is filled with meaning and reflects the strong bond the sisters share with each other and with the land.
Exhibition dates: Saturday, 12 July - Sunday, 17 August 2025
Exhibition opening: Friday, 11 July 2025, 6pm
Community Painting: Monday, 14 July and Tuesday, 15 July 11am - 3pm
Artist Yarn: Thursday, 17 July 2025, 2pm
