The City investigates a range of nuisance complaints under the Local Government Act 1995 and Environmental Protection (Noise) Regulations 1997. Below are common issues we receive reports about.
Hooning includes speeding, burnouts, tyre‑skidding and other dangerous driving that risks community safety.
How to respond:
No report, no record, no action!
Anti‑social behaviour includes actions that intimidate, disturb or harm the community, such as violence, threats, harassment, substance‑related activity, excessive noise, graffiti, illegal dumping, nuisance from animals, large disruptive groups and hooning.
How to respond:
Stay safe: remain calm, avoid engagement and keep your own records of incident details including report numbers.
Collect details safely if possible: time, date, location, descriptions, and any CCTV evidence.
An abandoned vehicle is one that has been left in a public place for an extended period, appears unregistered or unroadworthy, or has been deliberately dumped. Abandoned vehicles can attract antisocial behaviour, pose safety risks and affect the appearance of local streets and public spaces.
What can be done if I see an abandoned vehicle?
The details of the vehicle and location can be reported to the City of Mandurah.
Rangers will attend and place a sticker on the vehicle requesting it is removed within 24 hours. If it is not removed it will be towed to the impound facility at the vehicle owners expense.

Graffiti is a visible form of vandalism that affects the look and pride of our community. The City removes graffiti from assets we manage, such as footpaths, signs, public toilets and community buildings.

Overgrown verges and unkempt properties can be a fire hazard, create hiding spots and detract from the amenity of your neighbourhood. Property owners have a responsibility to maintain their land in a safe and tidy condition.
What can be reported:
The use of trail bikes, quads and other off-road vehicles is prohibited on public land in the City of Mandurah. Trail riding on beaches, foreshores and bushland is also prohibited. These activities should be reported to Ranger Services immediately on 9550 3777.
Riding on private property is allowed provided you have written permission from the land owner and is restricted to 2 hours per day.
Riding unlicensed vehicles on the road or footpath is extremely dangerous and should be reported to police immediately on 131 444 or via Crime Stoppers online.
In the City of Mandurah, it is unlawful to camp, sleep overnight, or erect tents and similar structures on local government property without a permit, and doing so may lead to enforcement action.
City Property: Report camping in public places to the City on 9550 3777.
Private Property: While we don't remove campers from private property, our Health team work with property owners to manage squatters.
