As part of the Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators exhibition program, Mandurah Museum invites you to discover the incredible story of one of the world's rarest and most mysterious sharks.

Drawing on his extensive research and experience, maritime archaeologist and conservation specialist Dr Ian MacLeod will explore the fascinating Megamouth shark, including the famous specimen discovered on Mandurah Beach, what makes this elusive deep-sea species so unique, and its importance to marine science and conservation.

As part of your visit, you can also see Mandurah Museum's life-sized replica of the Megamouth shark, offering a rare opportunity to appreciate the size and features of this extraordinary ocean giant.

This special presentation is part of the Sea Monsters: Prehistoric Ocean Predators exhibition, connecting one of today's most remarkable marine species with the prehistoric ocean predators featured in the exhibition.
