Learn the complexity and subtlety of the art of the watercolour at this workshop guided by Pat Joyce. This step-by-step demonstration and workshop will cover essential topics to get you started, such as selecting the right paper, paint and brushes for your project, and how to easily transfer a picture outline onto the page.
The workshop will also cover beginner watercolour techniques such as lifting out, wet on wet, hard and soft edges, scrumbling, spattering and working with light and shade. All of these techniques will then be applied to your very own painting that you can take home and admire.
All materials and morning tea will be supplied, and you will walk away from this workshop with the basic skills you need to further explore watercolours in your own practice!
