The City's central waste management hub in Parklands accepts household and commercial waste and offers free disposal for items like cardboard, scrap metal, and household hazardous waste.
Waste vouchers
The City provides ratepayers with four waste vouchers per year. These are attached to your annual rates notice and expire on 31 August each year. Each voucher is individually barcoded to the property address and can only be used once. If you are renting, please contact your property manager/owner for your waste vouchers.
Each green waste voucher provides:
- Free disposal for one cubic metre of clean, uncontaminated green waste (garden prunings, tree loppings, lawn clippings, tree limbs/branches, etc.)
- Exclusions: Cannot contain sand, soil, or timber
Each general waste voucher provides:
- Free disposal for one cubic metre of general household rubbish or junk
- Exclusions: Cannot be used for asbestos or hazardous items
General Waste Vouchers can also be used for the disposal of green waste, inert waste, tyres, and mattresses (limits apply).
- Only valid vouchers will be accepted (you can find the expiry date on the voucher in red)
- Vouchers cannot be used for waste brought in by large trucks or removalist vans
- Vouchers are not transferrable or redeemable for cash
- Each voucher is tracked using a barcode; any sold or shared via social media will be cancelled and won’t be accepted
If waste vouchers are lost or stolen, the property owner can go to the City of Mandurah Admin Building at 3 Peel Street to ask for a replacement.
Each voucher has a unique barcode linked to your property which will be checked to see if any of the vouchers have been used.
Only vouchers that have not been used can be replaced, and they will be issued after a statutory declaration is completed.
If you need help, please contact the City by emailing [email protected] or calling (08) 9550 3777.
