Puppets and Percussion LIVE!
Presented by Junkadelic Arts Collective and Mandurah Community Gardens

Experience a high-energy spectacle on the Mandurah’s Foreshores! This vibrant, roving performance features a 7-piece brass and percussion band, a giant puppet, and eco-sculpture built by the community. Starting on the Eastern Foreshore, local and professional performers will parade their visual and musical creations across the footbridge, culminating in a celebratory musical explosion under the Mandurah Bridge.
Voices of the Bridge
Choir presented under the direction of West Australian Opera
6.30pm-7.30pm
Marvel at Mandurah’s talented community members as their voices soar across the estuary! The Voices of the Bridge choir will present a vibrant repertoire of pop and retro-inspired pieces, crafted and perfected under the guidance of West Australian Opera’s Libby Hammer during the ten-week Sing Out! Mandurah singing program.
Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys
8pm-9pm
Cap off this night of musical joy with the swinging tunes and smooth melodies of Adam Hall and the Velvet Playboys. Combining retro hits, jazz classics, rhythm’n’blues and even modern pop bangers, this night promises something to get every member of the family out of their seats and dancing in the streets!
What to bring
Seating is not provided, so please bring along your picnic chairs or blankets.
You are welcome to bring along a picnic dinner, or take advantage of the delicious food trucks onsite.
Bottled water and mosquito repellent are advised. Please check the weather forecast ahead of time to ensure you are adequately prepared, as the wind off the estuary can be chilly!
What NOT to bring
This is an alcohol and smoke free event. Please leave your furry friends at home as pets will not be permitted on the event site.
When to arrive
The event site will be accessible from approximately 4pm on the day for those who would like to get in early. Puppets and Percussion LIVE! will proceed across the Mandurah Bridge and arrive at the event site from approximately 5.15pm, and Voices of the Bridge will commence at 6.30pm sharp so we recommend you are settled by then.
PLEASE NOTE that capacity at this location is limited. If there is no longer enough space in the immediate vicinity, you will still be able to enjoy the beautiful melodies from across the water on the Eastern Foreshore (wind direction permitting).
How to get there
Driving – approach the roundabout at the intersection of Old Coast Road, Pinjarra Road and Mary Street. Standard parking can be found in Hall Park (turn onto Mary Street, then quick turn onto Leighton Place). ACROD Parking can be found in the Western Foreshore Car Park, follow the signs.
Spaces in Hall Park are limited. You can also park on the Eastern Foreshore and cross the Mandurah Bridge by foot to the event site.
Public transport – Bus route 589 to and from Mandurah Station will drop and pick up from Stop 2262 – Gibson St after Mandurah Tce. This is approximately a 16 minute walk over Mandurah Bridge to the event location. Ensure you check the bus timetable to make your plans accordingly.
There are a limited number of bike racks onsite for those who would like to cycle to the event.
