Peel Open Studios, proudly running since 2018, is getting an upgrade. Beginning with the 2026 event cycle, the program will officially adopt its new name: Mandurah Open Studios. While the name is changing, the creative spirit and strong community connection at the heart of the event remain unchanged.
Why the change?
- A Mandurah-focused footprint allows for a more condensed event area, making it easier for visitors to experience more studios in one trip.
- A tighter geographical area helps improve event visibility, strengthens local identity, and supports targeted promotion, especially for studios in less central locations (e.g. Dawesville).
- Aligns more clearly with the City of Mandurah’s tourism and arts planning.
What's new?
- Only spaces within the City of Mandurah local government area will be eligible to participate.
- Artists from outside Mandurah are still welcome to participate, as long as the studio or exhibition space is located within the City of Mandurah for the duration of the event.
- A refreshed visual identity, increasing promotional opportunities, and stronger messaging to attract new audiences and visitors.
What's staying the same?
- The event structure, format, and time of year
- The core mission of supporting local artists and engaging the community
- The open studio experience you know and love
The next Mandurah Open Studios will return in 2026! Stay tuned for artist registrations, program launches and studio highlights.
