About the Event
The City of Mandurah is excited to announce the launch of Grow it Local in Mandurah, beginning with the Spring Festival with master grower, author, chef and TV personality: Paul West.
Grow It Local is an online local grow community, celebrating backyard, balcony, community and window-sill farmers. The community can be inspired by growing stories and connecting with others, sharing knowledge, expertise, produce and recipes. Grow It Local’s mission is to make growing more accessible, getting more people growing, sharing and eating locally grown foods. The online community provides a connection to nature and community, inspiring positive health & wellbeing, increasing composting and reducing organic waste to landfill in a fun and delicious way.
The launch event will take place at Flics Kitchen with some of Mandurah’s top chefs doing a live cooking demo using recipes from Pauls recently published book ‘Homegrown’.
Come together to enjoy green mocktails and canapes and hear how you can be part of Grow it Locals mission to educate, support and inspire more Australians to grow, share and eat locally grown foods.
