Emergency Planning

The City of Mandurah has an advisory and support role in emergency planning.

Committees

The City coordinates and receives advice on local matters through the Local Emergency Management Committee and Bush Fire Advisory Committee.

Local Emergency Management Committee 

The Local Emergency Management Committee was formed as an emergency planning body to ensure the Local Emergency Management Plans are established and maintained. This committee draws on experience from emergency service, welfare, and utility agencies. It is established in accordance with the Emergency Management Act 2005. 

Bush Fire Advisory Committee

The Bush Fire Advisory Committee was formed to provide expert advice and assistance on all aspects of bush fire management. This committee draws on experience from the local agencies involved with the prevention, mitigation and suppression of bush fires. It is established in accordance with the Bushfires Act 1954.
