Organising an Event within the City of Mandurah

The City has a range of documents and applications necessary to assist with the relevant legislative requirements for organising certain types of events.


Do I need to complete an Event Application Form

Complete this short questionnaire to ascertain whether or not an application is required.

Event Notification

An event notification is required for:

  • Gatherings between 50 people or more
  • Events held on public open space, reserves or the City facilities
  • Where there is alcohol or food being sold or major community impact such as noise or parking implications.

Event Application

An event application is required when the event is open to the public and where additional approval is required to protect the health and safety of those attending.

A Large Event Application is required to be completed by the organisers if the following is applicable for your event:

  • An event that will attract 100 people or more
  • Food will be sold to the public
  • Requires approval of a temporary structure
  • A risk management plan is required to protect the health and safety of those attending.

A Small Event Application is required to be completed by the organisers if the following is applicable for your event:

  • The event will attract a group of less than 100 people
  • Booking of a public open space, reserve or City facility is required
  • Food will be sold to the public.
