How do I borrow items from Mandurah Libraries?

20 items can be borrowed on each membership. This includes up to eight DVDs and eight CDs. Present your library card with the items you wish to borrow at Mandurah Library or Falcon eLibrary and Community Centre.

How do I renew items from Mandurah Libraries?

Renew your items from anywhere using our Online library CatalogueThis will take you to an external site.
  • Login using your membership card number and PIN.
  • View your current loans and select the items you would like to renew.
  • Click renew items.
  • All items that can be renewed will display a new due date. Any items that can’t be renewed will show up in red. These items will need to be returned to your library.

How do I request items from Mandurah Libraries?

To find items available through Mandurah Libraries
  • Login to the Online Library Catalogue, using your library card number and PIN. This will take you to an external site.
  • Find the item on the catalogue by doing a quick or advanced search.
  • Click on the title of the item from your search list to see the full details.
  • Click on place reservation at the top of the screen.
  • Select either Mandurah Library or Falcon eLibrary as your pick-up location. Click on Place Reservation and a reservation placed screen will show
To find items that are not available through Mandurah Libraries
When prompted, login:
  • The User ID is your library card number.
  • The password is your library PIN or password.
  • For Authentication Service select Mandurah Libraries from the drop-down list.
  • Add your email address.
  • Select your pickup location.
  • When you find your item, click the Get-It! button to request the item.

  

Inter-Library Loan Limits

To deliver a more effective service to local communities in WA, State and Public Libraries WA will be making some changes to inter-library loans, commencing 1 July 2017:

  • Items will be available for inter-library lending from 12 months after purchase. This applies to fiction in all formats for both metropolitan and country libraries.
  • Customers from metropolitan libraries will have access to a total of 12 inter-library loans per member per annum.
  • Customers from country libraries will be have access to a total of 24 inter-library loans per member per annum.
  • If an external loan (from outside the WA public library system) is requested by a library customer, a fee based on recovering costs will be charged.

The trial will be evaluated at the end of the 6 month period.
